Terms & Conditions for 3D Printing

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to all 3D printing orders placed with Tridiast through our website, inquiry form, or any other channel. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms. These Terms apply in addition to our general Terms of Service available at tridiast.com/terms-of-service.

1. Quotation & Pricing

All 3D printing orders begin with a quotation. We aim to provide a final quote within 1 to 2 business days of receiving your inquiry and all required files.

Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Prices may be revised if project requirements change after the quote is issued.

Minimum order values apply per material:

Material

Minimum Order Value

PLA, PETG, TPU

PKR 500

ABS, ASA

PKR 1,500

Engineering & Composite Filaments

PKR 5,000

SLA / Resin (Standard, Tough, Flexible, etc.)

PKR 1,500

Multi-color or multi-material jobs

Quoted individually

Orders below the minimum value for the selected material will be invoiced at the applicable minimum regardless of actual print cost. This minimum applies per material across the whole order, if an order contains multiple parts in the same material, their combined value is measured against that material’s minimum, not each part individually. Different materials in the same order are never combined for this purpose; each material’s total is assessed on its own.

Our online instant quote tool displays the calculated price as-is and does not automatically apply this minimum. Where an order’s per-material total would fall under the applicable minimum shown above, the tool will indicate that a minimum order value applies. The minimum shown above is what will actually be invoiced for that material, regardless of what the online estimate displayed.

Production does not begin until the quotation has been confirmed in writing by the customer and payment or a payment arrangement is in place.

2. Files & Design Responsibility

The customer is responsible for providing print-ready files in an accepted format: STL, OBJ, or 3MF. Files can be submitted via our website inquiry form or email.

We will notify you of any obvious issues with your file before printing begins. However, the customer remains solely responsible for the accuracy, geometry, and printability of the design. We do not modify customer files without explicit written agreement.

If a print fails due to a customer design issue, including non-manifold geometry, walls below minimum printable thickness, unsupported overhangs, incorrect scale, or file corruption, no refund or free reprint will be provided. We will notify you of the failure and can provide a revised quote to re-attempt the print with corrections where applicable.

File revisions provided after an order is confirmed will be treated as a new order and re-quoted accordingly. If production has already started, the original order cannot be modified.

3. Turnaround & Delivery

Turnaround time depends on part size, complexity, material, finish requirements, and current workload. An estimated lead time is included in every quotation.

Lead times are estimates only. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including material supply issues, equipment downtime, or courier delays.

Completed orders can be collected in person or shipped via courier. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be itemized on the invoice. Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the order is handed to the courier. We recommend requesting tracked shipping for all orders.

For collection orders, customers will be notified when their order is ready. Orders not collected within 14 days of the ready notification may be disposed of at our discretion without refund.

4. Quality & Our Commitment

Every order is inspected before dispatch or handover. We do not release an order we are not satisfied with.

If a print fails or does not meet quality standards due to an error on our part, including machine calibration, material handling, or process error, we will reprint the order at no charge. We will not wait for the customer to raise the issue; if we identify a production failure, we address it before delivery.

If a quality issue attributable to our production process is identified after delivery, we will either reprint or refund the order following assessment. To be eligible, the claim must be raised within 7 days of delivery with supporting photographs, and the part must not have been modified, damaged, or used in a way that caused or contributed to the issue.

We do not offer reprints or refunds for:

  • Failures caused by customer file or design issues
  • Minor cosmetic characteristics inherent to FDM or SLA printing, including layer lines, slight surface texture, minor colour variation between batches, and small support marks on non-critical surfaces
  • Damage caused after delivery or during customer handling
  • Dimensional variation within standard FDM tolerance of plus or minus 0.2 to 0.5 mm

5. Intellectual Property

By submitting files to us you confirm that you own the design or hold the rights to have it reproduced. We accept no liability for infringement of third-party intellectual property rights, including licensed characters, trademarked logos, or patented designs.

We do not retain, copy, sell, or share customer files beyond what is necessary to fulfil the order

We may photograph completed prints for internal quality records. We will not publish or share images of customer work without written permission.

6. Prohibited Orders

We reserve the right to decline any order at our sole discretion. We do not print:

  • Items that infringe third-party intellectual property
  • Weapons, weapon components, or anything designed to cause harm
  • Items that are illegal to produce or possess in the applicable jurisdiction
  • Anything we reasonably determine to be inappropriate or unethical

7. Payment

Payment terms are as stated on the invoice. Production begins only after payment or a confirmed payment arrangement is in place. For new customers, full payment in advance is required unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late or failed payment may result in the order being held until the outstanding balance is cleared.

8. Cancellations & Changes

Orders may be cancelled before production begins for a full refund of any amount paid. Once printing has started, cancellations are not accepted and no refund will be issued.

Changes to a confirmed order will be assessed individually. If production has already begun, changes are not possible for the current order.

9. Liability

Our liability in connection with any order is limited to the invoice value of that order.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of printed parts, including product failure, personal injury, property damage, or loss of business.

Printed parts are produced for the purpose stated in your order. We do not certify parts for safety-critical, structural, medical, food-contact, or regulatory compliance applications. The customer is solely responsible for assessing suitability for intended use.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable international commercial standards. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably between the parties will be referred to arbitration or the courts of a jurisdiction agreed in writing by both parties.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision. Orders confirmed before a revision are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of confirmation.
