Ashscape

Ashscape is a low, round terrazzo piece with a carved landscape of flowing ridges across its top. It turns an everyday smoking accessory into a small sculptural object that earns its place on the table even when it’s not in use.

A Landscape You Can Hold

The top surface is cut into layered, wave-like contours, like a topographic map or dunes shaped by wind, and those folds double as channels where cigarettes rest and ash collects. Terrazzo (a composite of stone chips set in a cement or resin binder) gives it a warm speckle of terracotta, ochre, and grey, so each cast piece looks a little different. The squat, heavy body sits steady on any surface, and the soft edges keep the whole form calm and approachable.
